All Hell has been unleashed. Its gates have been flung wide open and its Demonic hordes have been spewed up onto the Surface.

Sariel has broken Hell's Curse but Lucifer is still not free. The Backlash of the Curse has rendered him comatose, and all of Heaven.

Heaven's inaction seems a gift of fate, an unexpected boon for the Goddesses carving up the Surface. Brigid's plans rest heavily on the coronation of Victoria to unite her divided empire. While Hera's hidden empire grows in the crumbling ruins of the United States.

But it was not just Hell that was unlocked. All of the Underworld is free to invade the Surface and from its dark depths have risen forgotten Gods. They too have their own intentions of empires.

While Heaven lies silent the world is being divided up by Gods, Fallen Angels and Greater Demons desperately preparing for the Angels' return. For how long before Heaven's wrath rains down on them all?

The Sloth of Heaven The Fallen Angels Book 2 eBook Steven Lindsay

A fairly jumbled word soup with little separation of ideas, storylines and characters. It took too long after reading a paragraph about a character to realize that the new paragraph was a different storyline altogether with another character. A good portion of time spent trying to figure out who is speaking. There are no characters to get behind, as all the characters in the story have proven to be psychotic.

First book was ok, but still had the lack of separation, and thought there would be SOME redeeming qualities to a few of the characters, so gave this one a go. I was mistaken. Alas, I could not finish the second book, and returned the third.

Author needs to define dialogue and storylines better for less confusion and a better reading experience, and get an editor to correct these and other writing issues. I do think the idea of this book could be a worthy subject, author needs polishing up a bit and editing. Kinda like this review...

The Sloth of Heaven The Fallen Angels Book 2 eBook Steven Lindsay Reviews

This was book 2 of The Fallen Angel Series but ended as if there should be a book 3. Couldn't find one. Very frustrating! Really enjoyed both books but was left high and dry. Hopefully he will complete the story with a third book.
Let me start off by saying this book was a great build up for the next book, and as such it was a slight disappointment because I wanted more development with relationships (family, friends or romantic), than the action that I got. However, the writing was good.

The book starts out with the aftermath of the release of Hell and all its creatures. It then follows all of the different creatures from hell and the characters from the last book - discovering the surface and making plans with their recent freedom. Sariel, whom I grew to love, kind of goes on the back burner just when you wanted to figure out what she was going to do next, which is kind of frustrating because I love her. Anyway, you learn more about the other characters involved in what is clearly the race to take over the whole world (or parts of it) in order to battle the angels. I won't go into any more detail than that on the story because I hate spoilers.

The major problem I had with the book was that there was so much. I love long books and intense plot lines as much as everyone else, but this book included way too much detail at times. The author would go off on some tangent back story, history, or detail of an event that made it hard to stay focused on the story. We were also introduced to tons of characters on top of the already decent amount. The point of views changed constantly and weren't labeled, making it difficult to figure out who was even talking before halfway through the page.

All that being said, I did love the use of all the different histories of the new characters that had just been released from hell, and I look forward to the new book. Hopefully there will be more on Sariel and Lucifer this time.
